Our Story

We started here because we've seen it too many times - passionate educators and leaders with big ideas, designing transformative, character building programs on fumes between meetings, lunch duties, and last-minute schedule changes. The vision is there. The time and tools? Not so much.

We believe the programs that shape people shouldn't be the ones getting squeezed into the margins. They deserve the same care, craft, and intentionality you bring to everything else - just with someone in your corner to help make it happen.

That's what we do. And we love it.

We co-design full learning journeys or step in to support a single session. That might mean reworking a Year 9 transition program, building a student leadership experience, embedding service learning, or energising something you've already got. Whatever the format, we tailor every experience to your people, your context, and your goals.

Hi, I’m Yoel - Founder of the Centre for Experiential Learning. I’m a teacher, facilitator, and experiential learning designer who believes learning should be lived, not just memorised.

My journey with experiential learning started when I was nine. One camp turned a plain hall into a full-blown simulation of social inequality - and I still remember how it felt. That spark lit a fire. A few years later, bored in Year 11 Human Biology, I created a tag game where classmates acted as white blood cells and viruses. That moment flipped the switch: learning doesn’t have to sit in a textbook - it can move, breathe, connect.

Fast forward 15 years, and I’ve been designing and delivering immersive learning experiences for schools and organisations - from classrooms and camps to retreats and overseas journeys. My approach draws on inquiry-based pedagogy and contemporary research on active learning, engagement, and student voice. But at its core, it's simple: I craft learning that sticks because it's felt, shared, and applied.

Outside of work, you'll find me playing sport, cooking, learning languages, and making a dangerously good oat matcha.
